Tanpopo Ramen - Glenfield

With Tanpopo Glenfield Ramen's recent refresh in branding, I was commissioned to update their current menus, redesign insert menus and photograph their latest menu. 

I started the design process with creating a mockup of three possible ideas to take their menu design. I took into account their goals of what they want to achieve with this store brand refresh and studied their current design to implement within my own concepts.

MATURE
Matures the brand and retains Japanese influences and elements. Keeps the menu informative in a stylish manner.

FRESH
Vibrant and playful treatment to the menu layout. Does not over overload the composition with images.

MODERN
Sleek and minimalistic approach to composition. Keeps menu mysterious and easy to read.

Pleased with the concepts, the franchise preferred the "Mature" design for single menu inserts. But due to the Tanpopo brand being a global franchise it could not feature as its own menu within their regular store menus as it would conflict with their store contract. 

Below I have updated their menus with images taken from the individual store gallery and have added my own design treatments according to their brief. 

You can see this menu on their site as well as in hard copies in their restaurant.
