As sole Designer of GrabOne, my role is to collaborate with the Marketing Team and formulate creative assets and concept briefs for upcoming campaigns and disperse them throughout multiple platforms. Platforms such as website design, EDMs, customer journeys, social media, print design and external billboards. Our assets are enhanced with the reach of NZME which has given us wider recognition amongst our competitors.

A notable work from my work at GrabOne would be the GrabOne 2020 Christmas Launch. The Marketing team explored ideas of why customers should shop with us above other retailers and recognized the idea of our easy delivery and high selection of gifts onsite being our selling point.

We Identified all verticals that would be our strongest collections to promote and used vibrant colours to label them. Something noteworthy to notice is that I purposefully avoided using colours to describe genders as it was something our audience deeply cared about and helped exhibit our values of being connected and forward thinking.

Winter Savings Guide

A more recent renowned work would be the GrabOne Winter Savings Guide that featured as an insert in the
NZ Herald. As Art Director for this project I collaborated with the Sales team to organise a layout for them to sell into and promote their merchants exclusive deals for the insert.

A challenge for this project would be trying to keep to our print deadline, as our deal timelines onsite differ to our print timelines. The structure planning was stretched around to
2 months, but the selling and inserting of deals into the Guide was bound to a week for a 20 page publication.

A way I worked around this was creating a visual layout and spreadsheet for the Sales team to access and allow for me to manage all the deals coming in.

GrabOne App Download

To engage more users to our mobile platform, I created a Motion Graphic promotional video
to showcase our selling points of why customers should use our app.

Photography

Within my junior role of GrabOne I was a Photographer for certain deals on site. I would go
to the locations of interests and take photos of the landscape, offers and portraits for our social media. This was crucial as it built Merchant relationships as well as gauge interest on our social media.   

Email Marketing

GrabOne has different types of solus banners for typical send. One for main collections and large upcoming campaigns and third party banners purchased by external clients. Paid email placements would be coded by myself and the team to send to GrabOne's database.

Social media

On GrabOne social media accounts, there are many giveaways, competitions or credit deals that require creative that matches its ongoing campaign. Forward planning and making of assets are made ahead of time and then scheduled depending on the release date. 

Business to business marketing

Additional to the BAU creation of daily assets, I work with the Marketing team to plan ahead and produce campaign collaterals, post campaign analysis presentations, media kits and pitch decks for our Sales team to present at clientele meetings. I gather the appropriate data and formulate copy, infographics and imagery to properly present the information in a way that suits the GrabOne brand and is easily perceived by viewers.

GrabOne's latest presentation to OMD was an astounding success. Within this pitch deck the Marketing team display GrabOne's brand values, audience statistics and advertising reach as a pitch to the OMD agency for future partnerships.

This asset is a collection of statistics and information that echo the OMD presentation. It is the staple kit for the Sales team to take on their clientele meetings and is an in-depth analysis of GrabOne advertising.

Spatial Design

With the new purchase of the GrabOne office, I developed decal designs to decorate the office lightbox, doors and walls to showcase the union of the GrabOne and Global Marketplace brand. The colours reflect the established brand and the triangle motif is to represent the main companies under the Global Marketplace umbrella - GrabOne, Click Frenzy and Power Retail.
